Formerly a Software professional, I have been a homemaker for a while. My life revolves around my two daughters. Having started writing only recently, I just discovered what I have been missing all along in my otherwise almost-perfect life.         I would like to share a true incident with you on this topic.

        Once when we were on an outing, my daughter was constantly demanding to buy some fancy items.

        I asked her if that was her need or want.
        In tamil Aasaiya illa thevaiya?

        She said :: What appears want to you is my need.

        Takes home the point :: A need or want is not universal in character. It varies from person to person and situation to situation.
