#195. IT’S COMPLICATED!

Riya

Ryan once used to be my brother’s best friend, who don’t see eye to eye on things anymore. They had a major rift three years back, common friends soon took sides and their rivalry only seemed to grow over the years. I am stuck in the middle of all this. Well, Ryan has my heart, only he doesn’t know that yet!

Ryan is a charmer, a clever boy, easy on the eyes too, I can go on and on. When it comes to him, I always seem to loose control of my thoughts and words. It has been three exact years since we last spoke. But, my love for him never lost its steam. As I saw him perched up his doorstep on my way to the University, looking exactly like a runaway model, I couldn’t help but sneak a glance or two, before being caught. He had his trademark cheeky smile and a touch-me-now dimple on his face. How I wish I could stand next to him poking his dimple adoringly!

The scary kitten that I was, never in my dreams, I could think of going against my brother. With a heavy sigh, I walked past him. Probably there will be a Ryan-sized hole in my chest, which could never be stitched back. I would probably never outgrow him.

On the other side- Ryan

As I was waiting for a friend outside my house, I saw her.

Riya…my childhood buddy’s sister, that buddy with whom my relationship is strained now. Well, she is more to me than just being his sister. She has had my heart for years now; only that she doesn’t know it yet!
