“Where are we? I have never been here. This place is so beautiful.”

“I know you would like it here dad. That’s why I wanted you to accompany me on my morning walk today.”

“I am glad I did.”

Giving sideways glance to his beaming face, I couldn’t control my tears.

‘Oh dad! I still remember you and mom holding my hand taking a brisk walk along this trail frequently.

‘After losing mom to cancer and almost losing you to stage 4 of Alzheimer’s’, my days aren’t the same anymore.

‘But don’t you worry dad. You’ve got me. I will hold your hand and guide you through this, just as you did when I was younger.

‘Sometimes, I wonder what I wouldn’t give, just to have some of your memories back!’ , Lost in thought, I was pleasantly shocked when he asked,

“Are you sure we haven’t been here before?”
