The black dog followed them home.Not only on that day, but the days that followed that fateful day.

Ria and Rohan were adventuresome twins who often took off on thrilling escapades. They always lived in the moment and lived for the exhilaration and the adrenaline rush.

The twins got an high end sports car for their seventeenth birthday from their dad and took it out on a drive down the beach road, the same night.

The speedometer of the car spiked over 200 mph and the deserted road reverberated with their joyful screams. In those moments of madness, they didn’t notice a limping man crossing the road. Rohan slammed the brakes, yet the damage had already happened. Ria screamed looking at the mangled body of the man. A black dog was seen howling next to the body.

Rohan pulled his sister inside the car and drove away as fast as he could. He was glad that they were safe as there wasn’t any witness to their deed.

But, the black dog that was seen beside its owner that day, had somehow followed them home. It followed them everyday, wherever they went, silently whimpering and gawking at them. Though Rohan tried frightening and beating it, he couldn’t dissuade the dog from following them.

Two months later, Rohan and Ria were seen dead on the same road where they had committed the crime before. Though police closed the case as accident, the presence of a black dog and faded silhouette of a limping man went unnoticed, just like his death, two months back!
