#311. THE GHOUL

As the people broke open the main door of house no:13 and smelled the fetid odor, they were sure to find a dead body there. ‘Poor Jim’, they cried as they rushed inside.

Jeremy always stood out in his outlandish clothes, morbid fascination for black magic tricks and midnight graveyard visits. He was called a ‘Ghoul‘ behind his back.

Jeremy’s cousin Jim was a sweetheart and was adored by everyone.

Jim had called Jeremy home for the Halloween party. As he entered Jim’s house in Vampire’s clothes with a distinct gleam in his eyes, he heard wind chime tinkling suddenly and saw a door appearing magically on the opposite wall. He peeped in to find Jim feasting on his neibour Lilly.

Shocked beyond words, as Jeremy made an attempt to escape, Jim’s piercing eyes held him in place.

As the crowd rushed in, their eyes fell on Jim who was bleeding and crying profusely. “Jeremy attacked me”, he said and his pitiable condition made people curse Jeremy. “I know he’s upto no good”, cried Rose hugging Jim tightly. ‘You’re my next, Rose!’, thought Jim with an inward smile.
